CA Sanjiv Sharma, FCA is a highly accomplished finance professional with over three decades of extensive experience in corporate finance, particularly within Central Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant.

He began his professional journey with Maruti Suzuki India Limited and subsequently joined Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), where he rose to the position of Deputy General Manager (Finance). During his tenure, he gained comprehensive exposure across key finance functions, including financial analysis, project appraisal for capital investments, fund management, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, cost optimization strategies, and the development of internal financial control systems.

In recognition of his expertise, he was appointed as Director (Finance) at Goa Shipyard Limited in 2012 and later at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in 2015, both prestigious Government of India enterprises under the Ministry of Defence. In these leadership roles, he was responsible for overseeing the entire Finance, Accounts, and IT functions of the organizations.

He played a pivotal role in several strategic initiatives, including leading the IPO process of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited—from preparation of the Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) to roadshows—and spearheading the filing of DRHP for government divestment. He also contributed significantly to strengthening governance frameworks through the development and enhancement of internal control systems, and the updating of accounts, audit manuals, and delegation of powers.

Additionally, he served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, reflecting his diverse leadership capabilities across finance and technology domains.

Post his superannuation in October 2019, he transitioned into professional practice as a Chartered Accountant and is currently engaged in providing financial consultancy services to a wide range of organizations.
