CA Munish Saraogi is a highly accomplished Chartered Accountant with nearly four decades of professional experience, including over 30 years with the world's leading professional services firms—Ernst & Young (EY), PwC, and Deloitte. Throughout his distinguished career, he has built an exceptional reputation in the areas of Audit & Assurance, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Quality & Risk Management (QRM), Regulatory Compliance, Forensic Investigations, and Financial Reporting.

His professional journey includes 20 years with Ernst & Young, followed by senior leadership roles at PwC and Deloitte, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening audit quality, risk management frameworks, and governance practices. At PwC, he served as the National Technical Director and led the Quality & Risk Management function across India. At Ernst & Young, he was part of the core Quality & Risk Management Governance team, overseeing India and Ireland operations. His extensive experience in quality assurance, professional standards, independence matters, and regulatory compliance has made him one of the most respected professionals in the audit and assurance domain.

CA Saraogi has advised and led engagements across a wide spectrum of industries, providing strategic guidance on statutory audits, internal audits, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, PCAOB audits, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. His deep understanding of governance structures and risk management practices has enabled organizations to strengthen their control environments and enhance stakeholder confidence.

In addition to his corporate leadership experience, he has made significant contributions to the accounting and auditing profession through his active association with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has served as a Member of the Ethical Standards Board and has contributed to several key committees of ICAI, including the Auditing & Assurance Standards Board, Research Committee, IFRS Committee of the Accounting Standards Board, Corporate Law Committee, Financial Reporting Review Board, and Peer Review Board. His involvement in these committees has helped shape professional standards, ethical practices, and governance frameworks within the profession.

A passionate educator and mentor, CA Saraogi has trained more than 3,500 peer reviewers across India and has delivered numerous seminars and technical sessions on behalf of ICAI, the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), PHD Chamber of Commerce, and other professional institutions. He has also trained over 1,000 Chartered Accountants on PCAOB auditing standards, audit quality, independence requirements, and quality control standards, contributing significantly to the enhancement of professional competence across the industry.

His expertise extends beyond audit and assurance into forensic accounting and fraud investigations. He has served as a trainer for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on forensic and fraud-related matters, and one of his fraud investigation reports has been adopted as a reference template by the MCA and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO). He has also been involved in several large-scale fraud investigations in India, providing strategic insights and technical expertise in complex forensic assignments.

Currently, CA Saraogi serves on the boards of listed companies in India and is the Chairman of the Audit Committee of IL&FS Investment Managers Limited, overseeing governance and audit oversight across its group entities. Since transitioning from the Big Four environment, he has continued to support and mentor growing consulting firms across the country, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and leadership development.
